Salzburg question

The Salzburger Pfingstfestspiele site says that the Cleopatra virtuosa concert will include arias and instrumental pieces by Handel, Graun and Hasse. It resembles a Handel heroines concert, am I right?

  1. It does indeed, but then again, Graun and HAsse have composed pieces around Cleopatra.....maybe we will hear them? ....-;)

  6. Indeed it is just a guess as the pieces recorded in Santander in October 2010 have never been released to this day.
Cecila is to sing arias by Hasse and Graun in Salzburg next spring, so why not a new concept album around Cleopatra ?
