    Gute Besserung!

  2. Ja!
    Alexander

  5. So sorry for Cecilia and for everybody who travelled from far to Amsterdam! I really hope that Cecilia will get better soon, it must be so hard for her to cancel. I am relatively new on the forum and hope to meet some of you the 5th of November, or maybe in Paris on November the 1st. Let's hope Cecilia is feeling better by that time.
    Best Wishes,
    Catherine

    1. Bonjour Catherine !

    2. Yes Catherine, let's hope Cecilia will recover quickly and completely even in Köln on Tuesday possibly. Till Saturday there is plenty of chance for her recovering. On 1st Nov. I will be in A14. Maybe you are not far. I will be pleased to meet you then. See you soon.

  7. Thank you a million, Christian, for that very lengthy programme. I'll take it to Paris.
I noticed Cologne is almost sold out while now in Amsterdam there are hundreds of unsold tickets.
That's the first time. I wonder if it has to do with Russia being very impopular here after that MH17 plane attack. There are hourly radio commercials for CD or concert.

    1. Hi, Ton. I hope you are wrong. I think the reason rather is that people had to give back their tickets for 26th of October, because they can't manage to come again for the postponed concert on 5th of November from far away - too much money or no time for a second visit. I remember that a few days before last Sunday there were only very few tickets on bad seats available. We will see how the ticket selling get's on ... I keep my very good ticket because fortunately I can manage to come again (cheap hotel, cheap train ticket, not working any longer ...) - after 3 days in Amsterdam without Cecilia :-((( and having only one more oppotunity to follow a concert, in Hamburg.

All of you who will be at Cologne tonight will be lucky: Cecilia seems to be healthy again and you will get an extra, the surrender of the price :-)
      Have a wonderful evening, Christiane

  8. Hi Gil, thank you for your reply. I will be in B4 :-)
Although a lot of people will have to return their ticket for the concert in Amsterdam because they can't make it on the 5th of November, I have good hopes that the concert hall will be pretty full next week.
For all who is going to Cologne this evening, I am very glad that Cecilia is well again. Have a wonderful evening! Catherine

    1. What a relief to know that Cecilia recovered! So you will be at the row behind me on Saturday. I deem we will speak in French. I will be with three friends. Actually, the first row will be filled more or less with friends from the Forum. However, one row might be added in front of the first row. We will see.

  9. Can someone who is going to Cologne tonight tell me all about the concert? Im especially very curious how she will sing Nobil Onda. Thanks!

  10. The Concertgebouw had very few tickets on the stage sold, but the TV and radio attention sold quite a bit. Thing is also that this is not a subscription concert like last year..
Christiane, nice that you come to Amsterdam and Hamburg, just like me.
Hamburg has a new cheap hotel ,opening around 7 November, Ibis budget Hamburg City (39 euro), opposite main station , very convenient..

    1. Ok Ton, I didn't pay attention to the seats behind the stage. Thanks for the hint to the cheap hotel. For me it's more convenient to stay near the concert hall because I don't feel comfortable if I had a long way to the hotel by myself at night in a big city. So I booked the Hanseatin, just opposite the Laeiszhalle :-)

  11. Hi, Catherine and Ton, it's fine to know that at least two forum friends will be in Amsterdam the 5th of November, when I will come again. Who else will be there? I hope that we may meet Cecilia after the concert - either during an official signing session or at the artists' entrance. On the other hand she has to take care of herself leaving for Paris on Thursday and perform there on Friday ...
Will you still sit in the 3rd row next to the middle aisle, Ton? And where will you be Catherine? Are you French? My seat is row 4 next to the middle aisle.

    1. Hi Christiane,
I just read the comments about the Cologne concert. It really sounds as a wonderful and special evening! I am really glad that Cecilia recovered !
In Amsterdam, I will be in row 4 seat 26. I intented to go with someone who can't make it on the 5th, so I am returning a ticket to the Concertgebouw for row 4 seat 27 today.

Christiane, you asked if I am French. Well, I am Dutch and unfortunately don't speak French well. Seems though that I should take some French lessons, Gil :-)

    1. Many thanks for such a great news! Lucky you to have enjoyed 5 encores. That means Cecilia added the encores she couldn't sing in Amsterdam so to say. Let's see what she will do in Paris. I guess and feel it's going to be great.

    2. Christian, the Händel was 'Desterò dall'empia dite'. ;)

Indeed, it was a great concert, it seemed, she could sing the whole night.

Dear Paris-friends, look forward to Hasse, it lieaves you speechless!

    3. OMG thank you so much! When I read she sang Disseratevi o porte d'averno as an encore I got tears in my eyes. It's my favorite aria of all times and I've always dreamed about hearing Cecilia sing it live. I never expected it to happen, but it may happen if she sings it as en encore in Amsterdam!!! I REALLY hope so! These encores are great, I really hope we get the same in Amsterdam. Thank you for telling us!

    4. Haha bummer! Desterò dall'empia dite is a whole other story! I like that aria but I've already heard her sing it as en encore three times :P I guess Disseratevi o porte d'averno was too good to be true haha.

Can someone tell me how she sang Nobil Onda?

      Delete
    5. Sorry, spenzer, for bursting your bubble. :D

'Nobil onda' was different to as we know it. She played with it, did some impressing Messa di voces and made different ornamentations. It was fun!

She was in best shape, one could see that she really wanted to sing. And, by the way, she was beautiful.

    6. Thank you Charlotte. And what about A facile vittoria? Did she battle with the trumpet at the end of the aria?

    8. I'm sorry spencergoemaat :O Even A facile vittoria was flawless but for me the highlights were the two arias of vivaldi :) Very sweet and emotional

  13. Spencer, of course she battled - and let the trumpet win. The trumpet, the oboist and the flutist were smashing, pure joy, one could see the connection between Cecilia and them like little sparkeling flashes. Fasolis made some fireworks, too, and he and the orchestra got almost as much applause as Cecilia. With great justice.

The two Vivaldis were indeed wonderful melancholic, it was a gift. It was anyway so very generous not only to sing 5 encores, but also such precious ones.

  14. Did she sign autographs afterwards?

  15. What an extraordinary evening, Cecilia's Cologne concert, nearly incredible. Thanks for all the comments here. And let's hope that Cecilia stays healthy so that we who haven't been to Cologne will have such a special experience, too. Looking forward to Amsterdam ...
